THE OPPORTUNITY

This role is where sustainability theory meets construction reality.

As a Project Analyst, you will work directly on green building certification and performance projects, translating sustainability goals into documented, verifiable outcomes.

This is hands-on sustainability. Not slides. Not slogans.


THE ROLE

You will support multiple sustainability and green building projects across their lifecycle.

You will:

Prepare and manage documentation for LEED and other certification systems.

Analyze project data and identify efficiencies in documentation and compliance.

Lead contractor check-ins and coordinate across design and construction teams.

Conduct materials research and sustainability specification reviews.

Review construction submittals to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.

Evaluate building performance metrics such as water usage.

Review drawings and specifications for green compliance.

Support deliverables and mentor junior coordinators where needed.

Track project documentation and maintain organized records.


CORE FOCUS

Green Building Certification
Drive LEED and related certification processes from documentation to submission.

Construction Phase Sustainability
Ensure materials and execution align with sustainability specifications.

Data & Performance Analysis
Assess project performance against environmental benchmarks.

Project Coordination
Act as the connective tissue between consultants, contractors, and clients.


WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR

You are early-career but technically grounded.

You likely have:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, environmental science, sustainability, or related field.

1 to 3 years of experience in green building or sustainability project work.

Familiarity with LEED or similar certification frameworks.

Ability to read drawings, specifications, and product documentation.

Experience with tools like LEED Online or Bluebeam.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.


COMPENSATION

Hourly pay varies by location:

Portland, OR: $34.83 – $40.49

Seattle, WA / Los Angeles, CA: $38.15 – $44.34

Oakland, CA / New York, NY: $41.47 – $48.20

Typical offers fall within the lower half of the range depending on experience.
